While MAXS in the 60s dominated upper elevations in the High Knob Massif during June 11-14, the nice aspect came with a rapid dewpoint plunge following storminess ( highlighted amid these sections ) that allowed June 14-15 MINS to drop into the 40s.

A refreshing break from humidity graced the mountain landscape June 14 as a respite from daily showers and downpours in thunderstorms, typical of summer-time in the southern Appalachians, was a welcomed change.
The first half of June 2014 featured gorgeous skies, with many storm days generating dramatic displays across the High Knob Landform.

Although thunderstorm formation is very common during summer in the mountains, few seldom ever see how rapid, dramatic, and purely gorgeous this process truly is when slowed down to consecutive frame extractions of time.
