May featured above average temperatures
and near to below average rainfall.

In the High Knob Massif temps during May varied from mid 60s by day at highest elevations to 40-45 degrees at night in colder mountain valleys of 
mid-upper elevations.

Temperature extremes ranged from 75 degrees at the summit level to upper 20s in colder mountain valleys where around
9 nights featured conditions chilly enough for frost formation.

May rainfall varied from 4.50" to 5.50"+ in mid-upper portions of Big Cherry Lake Basin eastward to Robinson Knob, including northern slopes into 
the City of Norton, with lesser amounts to the southwest toward South Fork Gorge.

The final snowfall in mid-April pushed Spring 2014 totals into the 17-24" range above 3300 feet to cap off the 9 FEET of snow that fell atop the 
High Knob Massif this season.
