Following a light morning snow-rime event similar to that of February 6-7, with melting across lower and middle elevations by early afternoon, attention turned toward a day filled with mountain waves, a few snow showers, sunset colors, and capping orographic clouds.
*The heavens are often taken for granted when weather conditions are benign. Snapshots from a single day illustrate the amazing details which are mostly missed amid this busy Life on Earth!
*The above being particularly true of major orographic locations, like the High Knob Massif & Landform, where forcing generates amazingly complex and detailed patterns as atmosphere and terrain interact.
