A rapid accumulation of wind blown snow
was observed on 12 March 2022 on the 29th
Anniversary of the historic 1993 Superstorm.

Although this was not a superstorm, it did generate an impressive weather change that featured rapid snow depth accumulations and plunging air temps.

of Norton, measured 8" of snow depth at the base of the High Knob Massif where the total water equivalent was just under 1.00" .

Snow depths at the summit level varied from
wind blown bare areas to more than 2 feet in drifts. Actual snowfall was estimated to have
been around a foot.

the late afternoon and evening of 25 March turned moderate-heavy at times into overnight-predawn hours of 26 March.

Sunshine Returns In Wake of Snowfall
A general 1" to 2" of accumulation was observed at upper elevations across the High Knob Massif, with 0.5" to 1" along higher mountain ridges of the Tennessee Valley Divide.
